While I am
NOT a stay at home mom and I have hardly any freaking time to catch up on all
the stuff that needs doing in the house during the week, I can completely
understand the answer to this article. Maybe that's the reason I
completely understand and agree with the answer which defends stay at home
moms.
This was a
fun one!
ENJOY!

So true! My kids are all in school full-time now (first, second and fourth grades) but I remember those days well when they were all in diapers and afternoon nap (if they took one) was a victory! I saw a mom at the grocery store yesterday with three little ones as I shopped by myself. It's hard to understand how exhausting being a sahm is until you've done it.
ReplyDeleteOh I know! Mine is two and a half and it's tough. Some days I just want to throw in the towel and be done...I wish I were home all day long because I would at least have everything under control in the house. I can NEVER catch up on the cleaning, washing, organizing that needs doing. I do understand where the SAHM moms are coming from though.
DeleteI just found you through the linky and I like your blog. I have to say...I work five days a week and sometimes I take call (as a home health nurse) on weekends as well and still do everything that is listed in that answers. I spend quality time with my family AND my friends. And as Ashley mentioned above, I take my kids shopping with me too. Sometimes I think SAHM try so hard to defend what they do that they overlook what it might be like for working moms/wives. How might their day to day life look if suddenly they didn't have the stay at home option anymore. Food for thought.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I work full time and bring work home all the time as well. We all just do what we have to do make it all work. I still feel bad for the SAHM moms sometimes though.
DeleteThank you so much for reading!
Oh my gosh this article is awesome! I must say though that I have never had a "friend" who was this clueless about my duties when it comes to being a parent. This is shocking!

no problem :)
DeleteI've read this one too but I have to say I have tried to be friends with people with kids how make their kids excuses for everything. (I have kids by the way.) They will say the kids have this or that so I can't hang out with you. I hate that. So though I understand it's a lot of work to take care of your kids and you don't always have time for your friends, if you're a good friend you will make time every once in a while at least.

I am guilty of that sometimes. I either have dr. appointments or my son is sick. I guess those are legit reasons for not hanging out with friends though.
ReplyDeleteOther than that I do try to hang out from time to time with my friends.
Thanks for stopping by. I will check out all blogs :)
Wow! This is great :)
